10.7 Other Menu Buttons
Monitor
On the Home page, you can select Instruments and move it back and
forth from ‘
Monitored instruments’
depending on the devices you need to
monitor.
Selecting a MTP-1000 and clicking on
‘Monitor’
will navigate to the Test
Instrument Manager Interface
Firmware
If a firmware update is required, the ‘Firmware’ tab
can be used to upload the new firmware to the
instrument.
Once you select the instrument which needs an
upgrade, you can select if the upgrade has to be
done on the MTP1000 or the SwitchBlade. To
perform an update of the MTP1000 system select
the component as ‘
SBC’ .
To perform an update of a SwitchBlade module
select the component as
‘Blade’. The ‘Blade’ drop
down menu is used to select the specific
SwitchBlade module to upgrade, which can be
identified by the slot location within the MTP1000.
Once the target
‘SBC’ or ‘Blade’ is selected use the
browse button , to locate the
firmware update file and the click on ‘Update’ to
perform the update procedure.

MPORTANT
Do not power off the MTP1000 while the firmware update is taking place.
Be aware the firmware update procedure may take several minutes. Do not
try to ‘Monitor’ the unit during this time. Be sure to wait for 2-3 minutes
after the Firmware update is complete to continue.
