Selection of switches can be done by
clicking on a switch. Multiple switches
can be selected with the CTRL key and
SHIFT key can be used to select switches
between a range, selected switches are
then highlighted in grey. Clicking on the
label will select all the switches in the
blade. Any combination of the switches
can be selected in this manner. See the
following section for details on the
Switch
selection control .

10.4 Switch Selection Control
The Switch Selection Control allows you to specify the
selected switches by entering a valid range into the
‘
Selection ’ edit box manually, or by clicking ‘ All ’ to select
all installed switches. You can also click ‘ Clear’ to
deselect all switches.
When you click to select and deselect switches in the
Main Display , you will see this ‘ Selection ’ edit box
content change accordingly.

Example selection ranges:
A1-A2, This will select switches A1 and A2
10.5 Routing Control
When you click to select switches in the Main Display , you will see the controls for changing the switch routing
state become available according to the number of ports of the selected switches.

10.6 Fiber Type Display
Displays the properties of the fiber including the type and wavelength. This is specific to the model of
SwitchBlade.
