8. Remove the belt from the pulley and
prise it away from the pulleys locking
nuts.
9. Attach a new belt. Don’t forget to
push back the tensioning wheel so
that the belt ends up on the inside of
the stop lug.
10. Adjust the wires for correct tensions
and check the performance.
11. Refit the bracket and the protective
cover.
Troubleshooting guide
The engine does not start.
• Is the power switch in the “ON” position?
• Is the petrol tap in the “ON” position?
• Is there petrol in the tank?
• Have you pressed in the primer bulb enough times?
• If the engine is cold is the choke in the cold start position
(completely to the left)?
• If the engine is warm, is the choke set fully to the right?
• Is the throttle set fully to the right (full power)?
• Is there new petrol in the tank? Using old fuel can lead to
starting problems.
• Is the spark plug cable securely connected to the spark plug?
• Check the spark plug and replace it if necessary.
The engine runs irregularly. Check that the choke is in the correct position depending if
the engine is warm or cold.
Abnormal vibrations.
1. Turn off the snow blower and disconnect the spark plug wire
from the spark plug.
2. Check the auger and replace any damaged parts.
3. Check that all the screws and nuts are tightened.
The auger does not rotate
when engaged while
the engine is running. No
snow exits the chute.
• The auger drive clutch wire is incorrectly adjusted.

• The chute is clogged or foreign objects are preventing
the auger from rotating.
• The shear pins have sheared off. Replace the shear pins.
• The drive belt needs replacing. Check the belt and replace it if
