The
servername
field is the host name or IP address of the RTMP server to be contacted. The
app
field is the application in the server that should receive the data being transmitted. Note
that, depending on the service, the
app
field may contain a complete path or even a set of
parameters.
The RTMP Client configurable parameters are:

RTMP Protocol:
Select the protocol variant, as discussed above.
•
RTMP Server:
Enter the host name or IP address of the RTMP server to be contacted. If
you want to use host names instead of IP addresses, make sure to configure at least one
DNS server. DNS servers can be specified in the Network Configuration Tab.

RTMP Port Selection:
If your RTMP server is using the default TCP ports for the
protocol variant, select
Use Default
. If your server is using a non-standard port, select
Specific Port
. When
Specific Port
is selected, an additional field is displayed:

Port:
This field is only displayed if
RTMP Port Selection

Configure a non-standard TCP port here.

RTMP App:
Enter the application name in the server, as discussed above. Consult your
CDN or server documentation to find out what should be entered in this field.
•
RTMP Server URL:
This informational field is automatically updated as you configure
the RTMP parameters. It displays the full RTMP URL for the primary server.
•
RTMP Stream:
Enter the stream name for the server. Consult your server
documentation or CDN to find out what should be entered here. Some servers allow
arbitrary stream names, while others use this field for authentication and thus require
specific names.
•
Authentication:
Some RTMP servers require username/password authentication for
access. If your server does not require authentication, select
