Ground-Water Heat Pump Applications
Notice! Ground-water applications for commercial
buildings with more than 2-3 units should include
a plate frame heat-exchanger to isolate the heat
pumps from the ground-water and confi ne heat
exchanger cleanings to one location and lessen
maintenance. Direct use of ground-water may
increase the frequency of heat pump maintenance
and may shorten life expectancy.
Water Coil Low Temperature Limit Setting -
For all
open loop systems the 30°F [-1.1°C] LT1 setting (factory
setting-water) should be used to avoid freeze damage to
the unit. See “Low Water Temperature Cutout Selection”
in this manual for details on the low limit setting.
