■ Do not allow the device to fall or be exposed to severe impact.
■ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe changes in temperature,
moisture, wetness or direct sunlight.
■ Always fi rst test the device on a small, unnoticeable area of clothing.
■ Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products to clean the device. They could
damage the surface. Do not use metal utensils to remove dirt from the soleplate.
■ Never fi ll the device with cleaners, decalci fi ers or other chemical additives. They may
destroy the device and as such, the safe operation of the device can no longer be
assured.
■ Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stoves or ovens to prevent dam-
age to the device. Do not place any open
fl ames, e.g. burning candles, in the direct
vicinity of the device, cords and mains plug.
■ Do not place any heavy objects on the device, the cords and the mains plug.
■ Only stow the device once it has completely cooled off and the water tank is com-
pletely empty.
