The filters may lose some of their colour over time. This is normal and does not
have any adverse effect on function.
Emptying the Dust Container
1. Press the release button of the dust container and pull it out of the device by the
handle.
2. Hold the dust container over a dustbin.
3. Press the button to open the dust container. The bottom of the dust container will
open and the dirt will fall out.
4. Flip the bottom of the dust container shut again. The catch must be heard to engage
in place.
Inserting the Dust Container into the Device
1. Grip the dust container by the handle and first insert the bottom of the container into
the device.
2. Press the handle against the device housing until the dust container audibly engages
in the locking catch.
3. Lift up the device by the dust container handle to check whether the dust container
is in the correct position.
Cleaning the Cyclone Insert and Motor Filters
The cyclone insert is located in the dust container. The motor filters are seated in the filter
holder on the cyclone insert.
1. Remove the dust container from the device and empty it (see “Emptying the Dust
Container”).
2. Twist the lid of the dust container a little anticlockwise and
take it off.
3. Remove the filter holder (

) with foam filter.
4. Remove the foam filter.
Please Note: The second motor filter is firmly attached
to the filter holder and cannot be taken out of the holder!
5. Tap out all parts and brush off any loose dirt.
IMPORTANT: Do not clean the motor filters with water!
6. Remove the cyclone insert from the dust container.
7. Clean the dust container and cyclone insert with a damp cloth and then dry them
thoroughly.
8. Insert the cyclone insert into the dust container. Make sure that the arrow on the cy­
clone insert points towards the suction opening on the dust container.
9. Insert the foam filter into the filter holder.
10. Place the filter holder onto the cyclone insert with the foam filter facing downwards.
11. Place the lid on the dust container so that the right marker on the lid points towards
the symbol on the dust container. Twist the lid clockwise to shut it. The left mark­
er on the lid points towards the symbol.
12. Insert the dust container into the device (see “Inserting the Dust Container into the
Device”).
