Cleaning
PLEASE NOTE!
■
Always remove the mains plug from the plug socket before cleaning the device.
■
Keep the device, the mains cable and the mains plug away from water or other liq-
uids in order to avoid electric shocks. No liquid must be allowed to get into the device
when cleaning the device. Only the dust container, the dus
fi
lter, the air
fi
lter and the
sieve may be cleaned with water. They must be completely dry before they are put
back into the device.
■
The
fi
lters are neither machine-washable, dishwasher-safe nor suitable for tumble
drying! Only ever dry the
fi
lters in the air, and never use a hair dryer to do so.
■
Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the de-
vice. These could damage the surfaces.
The
fi
lters may lose some of their colour over time. This is normal and does not
have any adverse effect on function.
• Clean
the
fi
lters regularly, or if you notice a reduction in the suction power.
• Clean the housing with a damp, soft cloth if necessary. Then dry it with a soft cloth.
• Regularly remove hair and
fl
uff from the nozzles.
Emptying the Dust Container
1. Press the release button (
10
) of the dust container (
8
) and pull it out of the device by
the carrying handle.
2. Hold the dust container (
8
) over an open dustbin. The distance between the dust con-
tainer and the dustbin should be as short as possible to ensure that the dust from the
dust container (
8
) falls into the dustbin only and does not spill into the environment.
3. Press the button to open the dust container (
8
). The bottom
of the dust container (
8
) will open and the dirt will fall out.
4. Flip the bottom of the dust container shut again. The catch
must be heard to engage in place.
