Installing the Switch in a Cabinet with Insufficient Front Clearance
cables is maintained. In these cabinets, the Cisco MDS 9148S switch is mounted backwards, with the
fiber-optic cables facing toward the rear of the cabinet and the power supplies facing the front of the
cabinet.
Caution
If the rack is on wheels, ensure that the brakes are engaged or that the rack is otherwise stabilized.
The rack-mount kit provided with the switch contains the items listed in
