Opening the Router Chassis

This section describes how to open the Cisco ASR 901S Series Aggregation Services Router cover.
To access the router, you must open the router cover to access the cable bay area to install or change cables,
optical modules, and so on.

Opening the Router Cover

The router cover can be opened while the router is powered on and connected to the network. Take any safety
precautions described in the

Safety Guidelines, on page 15

The router cover features twelve anti-tampering captive M4 screws (see following figure).
