3.- DEVICE INSTALLATION
3�1�- PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS
The installation, operation and maintenance of LV device must only be carried
out by authorised installers. The complementary technical instruction ITC-BT-03
develops the provisions of article 22 of the Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation,
establishing the conditions and requirements that must be observed for the
certification of the competence and the corresponding administrative authorisation
of the approved installers in the application field for Low Voltage Electrotechnical
Regulations.
If for the installation of the device it is necessary to intervene in areas where
there is high voltage (HV) device, keep in mind that the personnel who handle
device in that area must be authorised personnel in HV installations. Please refer to
Royal Decree 337/2014, which regulates the requirements and operation of
high-voltage installation and maintenance companies.
This device can generate voltage levels that are harmful to the human body and may
even be deadly. It has built-in protection elements that reduce the risk of electric shock
to a minimum, but even so, the necessary safety measures must be taken.
In case of risk or failure in the GETEST , do not hesitate to cancel the triggering sequence.
Ensure that nobody is in the area of influence of the current injection.
Similarly, ensure that no one is handling the cables before starting the triggering
sequence.
GETEST weighs 45 kg. This weight can be harmful to the user if it is handled by
untrained people or if it is lifted incorrectly. The device is fitted with two
ergonomic handles and it is recommended that it be carried by two people.
The manufacturer of the unit is not responsible for any damage resulting from failure by the user or
installer to observe the warnings and/or recommendations set out in this manual, nor for damage
resulting from the use of non-original products or accessories or those made by other manufacturers.
If an anomaly or malfunction is detected in the device, do not use it for taking measurements.
