MAGNETIC ENCODER CLEANING
There exists two different processes to clean the Magnetic Stripe Encoder.
The first process consists of a standard cleaning of the printer. This cleans
the most important parts of the printer; including the Print head, Transport
Roller and Magnetic Stripe Encoder (refer to chapter "Cleaning" for more
instructions).
The second process consists of a cleaning of the Magnetic Encoder using
the Menu Button from the LCD Display.
To access the Magnetic Encoder Cleaning Menu proceed as below:
- Leave power on.
- Remove cards from the Card Feeder
- Insert one Pre-Saturated Cleaning Card (1) (provided) through slot on the
side of the Card Cartridge.
- Press the Menu button until the LCD screen shows CLEANING MENU.
- Press the Select button to select.
- Press the Menu button again until the LCD screen shows CLEAN MAG
HEAD.
- Run this operation by pressing the Select button.
NETTOYAGE DE L'ENCODEUR MAGNETIQUE
Il existe deux procédés diférents pour nettoyer l'Encodeur Magnétique. Le
premier procédé consiste en un nettoyage standard de l'imprimante qui
permet de nettoyer les pièces les plus importantes de l'imprimante, à savoir
la tête d'impression, le rouleau de transport et l'encodeur magnétique (voir
chapitre "Nettoyage" pour plus d'instructions).
Le second procédé consiste en un nettoyage de l'encodeur magnétique en
utilisant le Bouton Menu à partir de l'afficheur à cristaux liquides.
Pour accéder au Menu Nettoyage Encodeur Magnétique, procéder comme
suit:
- Laisser l'imprimante sous tension.
- Enlever les cartes du chargeur.
- Insérer une carte de nettoyage (1) (fournie) dans la fente sur le côté du
capot du chargeur de cartes.
- Appuyer sur le bouton Menu jusqu'à ce que l'écran à cristaux liquides
affiche CLEANING MENU (MENU NETTOYAGE).
- Appuyer sur le bouton Clear pour sélectionner.
- Appuyer à nouveau sur le bouton Menu jusqu'à ce que l'écran à cristaux
liquides affiche CLEAN MAG HEAD (NETTOYER TETE MAGNETIQUE).
- Activer cette opération en appuyant sur le bouton Clear.
