Default Configuration
If the CN 3960 does not have an operational configuration, the default configuration will
be used.
Local Management Port
The local management port has the following default settings:
•
IP address: 172.16.233.214
•
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
•
Default gateway: 0.0.0.0
Since the local management port uses auto MDIX, when connecting a PC directly to the
local management port, a straight through or crossover cable can be used.
LOG Server
The LOG server is used to archive the system logs from the node. The LOG server has the
following default settings:
•
IP address: 172.16.233.1
•
Port: 50001
•
Default gateway: 172.16.233.1
Port Settings
The Gigabit Ethernet ports are set to auto-negotiate by default.
VLANs
Table 1-9 summarizes the default VLAN configuration. When the CN 3960 is first
activated, all ports assigned as members to these VLANs.
