Quick charging is a method to partially recharge a battery in a short time with a large 

amount of current. This method should be used only in emergencies. After quick charging, 

always fully recharge the battery according to the proper procedure as soon as possible. 

Quick charging will extremely shorten battery life.

7.7  Cleaning

7.7.1  Air Cleaner Element

•  Clean air cleaner element after each use.  A contaminated air cleaner element will 

badly affect engine startability, power and life.

•  Handle cleaner element with care to avoid breaking or deforming.

1.  Open the engine cover, and support it firmly with the 

stopper to prevent it from closing.

2.  Inspect and clean or replace the air cleaner as 

described in "the Engine Operation Manual".

7.7.2  Ignition Plug

1.  Open the engine cover, and support it firmly with the 

stopper to prevent it from closing.

2.  Inspect and clean or replace the ignition plug as 

described in "the Engine Operation Manual" .
