INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING
1.
WARNING!
Make sure the Power Switch (29) of the Jigsaw is in its
“OFF”
position and the tool is unplugged from its electrical outlet before performing any
inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
2.
Before each use,
inspect the general condition of the Jigsaw. Check for loose
screws, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, dam-
aged electrical wiring, and any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further
use.
Do not use damaged equipment.
3.
Before each use,
inspect the Saw Blade (68, 69). Using a dull Saw Blade will
cause excessive wear on the Motor of the Jigsaw and will not produce a satisfac-
tory cut. Replace with a new Saw Blade when needed.
(See Figure G.)
4.
To clean the exterior parts of the Jigsaw,
use only a clean cloth and mild
detergent to clean the body of the Saw.
Do not immerse any electrical part of
the tool in any liquids.
5.
CAUTION! All maintenance, service, or repairs not mentioned in this
manual must only be performed by a qualified service technician.
