Rather than loading the appliance fully, it is better to never fill more than 1/3
of the total volume of the combustion chamber: see maximum wood load in
the characteristics of each insert. Overloading the appliance with fuel when it
is at normal draught is wasteful, resulting in lower output and increased
consumption. The maximum load is indicated on the insert’s specification
sheet. We recommend opening the door slowly to avoid expulsion of smoke; if
the appliance is operated with the door open; we advise you to use a
fireguard to protect yourself against fire hazards. To prevent thermal shocks
to metal parts, you must not put out the fire with water.
If you would rather use the “cool hands” than the handle supplied, unscrew
the 3 locking screws and remove it
