vIEWING YOUR bREAK TEST RESUlT
The DFS II Series gauge will display the following
information at the completion of a test:
From this display, you may record your reading
manually; zero your test and start another, or
navigate to the SAVE Mode. The SAVE Mode
allows you to “Save” the result to the gauge mem-
ory or “Transmit” the value to an external device
through the gauge’s RS232, USB, Bluetooth
®
or
Mitutoyo output.
To Zero the result, depress the Zero key. The
result is erased from the gauge.
To go to the SAVE Mode, select the F3 (More) key.
TRANSMITTING YOUR bREAK TEST
RESUlT
From the SAVE Mode, select the F1 (Xmit) key
to transmit information through the DFS II Series
RS232, USB communication port or Bluetooth
®
.
When you select the F1 (Xmit) key you will be pro-
vided with two options:
n
Xmit-W (F1)
n
XmitAll (F2)
The F1 “Xmit-W” key will transmit the currently
displayed value for %CBk mode through the DFS II
gauge’s digital output port. The following informa-
tion is transmitted:
n
Break Load with Units (%TBk,%CBk, STBk, SCBk)
n
Maximum Load with Units
n
% Drop Value
n
Break Point Value
n
Peak Register Value (T-PK, C-PK)
n
Pass/Fail (if configured)
n
Pass/Fail Limits (if configured)
The “Xmit-W” represents that the values will be
transmited “With” units. You may elect to transmit
values without units by changing the Transmit op-
tion in the COMMUNICATIONS setup. Change
the “Xmit Units” from “ON” to “OFF”. When “Off”,
the gauge will transmit information without units.
The F1 key will display “Xmit-O”, the values will be
transmitted without units.
