12. Calibrate Oven Temperature controller vs. a Cement Temperature RTD, according to Steps 5(b)
– 5(k) of Procedure #7200-1060.
13. Calibrate the Cabinet Temperature RTD vs. a temperature block calibrator, according to the
procedure as detailed in the CHA Users Manual.
14. Calibrate the Oven Hi-Limit Control and thermocouple vs. a temperature block calibrator,
according to the procedure as detailed in the CHA Users Manual.
15. Enter the default Gas Injection Flow Rate calibration values in software (to use the
manufacturer’s factory calibration), according to the procedure as detailed in the CHA Users
Manual.
16. Enter the default H
2
O Confining Flow Rate calibration values in software (to use the
manufacturer’s factory calibration), according to the procedure as detailed in the CHA Users
Manual.
17. Test the complete CHA system, including all high-pressure plumbing, to its Maximum Working
Pressure of 1000 psig (6.895 MPa, 68.95 bar), +/- 20 psi, at its Maximum Working Temperature
of 325°F (163°C), +/- 4°F (+/- 2°C), using N
2
gas and H
2
O. Ensure that the system is leak-free at
these conditions. See the Users Manual for instructions on “Filling the System with Test Fluids,
and initiating a test”, except use only H
2
O, without any cement sample.
18. After the high-temperature, high-pressure test, check and tighten the RTD connector terminal
screws.
19. Perform a complete Type 3 experiment with Procedure 2 (See the Users Manual.) with a
standard Class H cement sample at 300°F (150°C), with the H
2
O Confining Pressure set to 975
psig (+/- 20 psi) and the Gas Injection Pressure set to 900 psig (+/- 20 psi). Place the data plot of
the test in the instrument’s Serial Number file and in Section 7 of the Users Manual to be shipped
with the instrument.
20. Record the Serial Number of the Pore Pressure transducer on the first page of this
Procedure/Report, and file its original manufacturer’s calibration sheet in the instrument’s Serial
Number file. File a copy of the calibration sheet in the Pressure Transducers portion of Section 8
of the Users Manual to be shipped with the instrument, with a note on it to designate that this is
for the Pore Pressure.
21. Record the Serial Number of the H
2
O Confining Pressure transducer on the first page of this
Procedure/Report, and file its original manufacturer’s calibration sheet in the instrument’s Serial
