2.2.3 Engine Preparation
A.
Remove the existing ignition system from the engine. If equipped, remove the starting vibrator
and wiring.
WARNING
:
THE MAGNETO IS “ON” WHEN THE IGNITION SWITCH WIRE (P-LEAD) IS
DETACHED FROM THE MAGNETO. NORMAL PRECAUTIONS MUST BE TAKEN TO
PREVENT ACCIDENTAL ENGINE IGNITION.
B.
Remove the old magneto mounting gasket from the accessory case. Clean the residual gasket
material from the mounting surface.
