Disassembly and Assembly

FUEL FILTER AND FUEL FILTER BASE
- REMOVE (PRIMARY AND
SECONDARY FUEL FILTERS)

Removal Procedure

NOTE: Mark the location and the orientation of all hose

assemblies for reassembly purposes before the
removal of any components. Plug all hose
assemblies and cap all fittings. Plugs and caps
help prevent fluid spills. Plugs and caps also help
prevent dirt and debris from entering the fuel
system.

IMPORTANT: Care must be taken to ensure that fluids

are contained during performance of inspection,
maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the
product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with
suitable containers before opening any
compartment or disassembling any component
containing fluids.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations
and mandates.



WARNING: Hot engine components can
cause injury from burns. Before performing
maintenance on the engine, allow the
engine and the components to cool.



WARNING: Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot
surfaces or electrical components can
cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury,
turn the start switch off when changing fuel
filters or water separator elements. Clean
up fuel spills immediately.
