Attendance list
The
attendance list
shows which persons are currently present or absent. This requires that
these persons have first been issued with the locking media. The attendance list obtains your
data from locking devices for which time registration is enabled.
Detailed instructions can be found in the
CEStronics Suite Help
.
Validity
The
validity
specifies the period during which the locking medium can be used. You can define
up to three validity periods.
Example:
You wish to issue a locking medium to a new employee before they begin their
new job, but you want the locking medium to only be able to be used from their first day at
work.
The end date of the validity also ensures that no further access will be possible after a defined
point in time.
Locking media must be valid in order to be able to
l
open locking devices
l
be validated
The validity is specified in the OMEGA Client. A validity can be assigned to both V-NET and
LINE locking media. However, setting a validity for the locking media is not mandatory.
A locking medium for which the validity has expired can only be reprogrammed using a
Desktop-Writer. While a locking medium is still valid, its validity can also be changed using an
Update-Terminal.
With LINE, the validity can only be used in online systems. Once the validity has expired,
programming jobs for online locking devices that are in ‘online’ programming mode are
automatically created and transmitted.
The validity is set in the CEStronics Suite. Detailed instructions can be found in the
CEStronics
Suite Help
.
Validation
The
validation
serves as a security function in V-NET. For this, an
expiry date
is set for the
locking medium, up to which time it can be used. Once this date is reached, and if it has not
been extended using an Update-Terminal, the locking medium can no longer be used.
A requirement for regular validation ensures that a locking medium that falls into the hands
of unauthorised persons cannot be used beyond the expiry date. If the locking medium is on
the block list, it will be blocked rather than validated when it next comes into contact with an
Update-Terminal.
