Update-Terminals
extend the expiry date by the time interval you specify. This time interval is
the
validation interval
.
Example:
With a weekly validation interval, your employees must revalidate their locking
media on an Update-Terminal every week to ensure that the locking media can continue to
be used.
Update-Terminals are linked to the OMEGA Server via the LAN network. The events stored in
the locking medium are exported via this connection and sent to the OMEGA Server.
Validation vs. validity
Validity cannot be extended on an Update-Terminal. A locking medium must however be valid
for it to be validated.
Example:
A locking medium is
valid
for one year, but must be
revalidated
every day within
that year.
The validation is set via the CEStronics Suite. Detailed instructions can be found in the
CEStronics Suite Help
.
