2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
2.1) Setting
(Ref. to Fig. 4)
The head is equipped with a “self-lock” quick male coupler suitable for connection to a
hydraulic, pneumatic or electric pump from the
Cembre
range.
– Insert the conductor between the blades at the desired cutting point. For a running
conductor, remove the locking pin (27) and open the tool head.
Fully retract the lower blade (12) before attempting to open the tool head.
– With the conductor on the lower blade (12), close the tool head and fully insert the lock-
ing pin (27).
Before carrying out further cutting operations make sure the locking pin (27) is
completely inserted: a partial insertion may damage the tool head.
2.2) Blade advancement
Operate the pump to advance the lower blade.
Make sure the blades are exactly positioned on the desired cutting point; otherwise retract
the lower blade, as
§ 2.4
and re-position the cutting head.
2.3) Cutting
Continue operating the pump to close the blades and progressively cut the conductor.
2.4) Blade opening
To open the blades, fully discharge the oil pressure from the pump.
