NOTE
Inspect each component of the system for visual damage.
Retain all packing materials.

1.
Select a location that:
• Provides a draft free, dust free, dry environment. The temperature of the room must be between 59 °F and
86 °F (15 °C - 30 °C). Temperature should not vary more than 5 ° per day. Relative humidity range should
be 0-85%. Take special care to avoid areas positioned directly underneath or in line with an air conditioner
or similar source of air drafts.
• Is free from vibration of large equipment and/or excessive walk-through traffic.
• Is capable of supporting the combined weight of the ORACLE magnet (120 lbs/55 kg) and, if applicable,
the ORACLE processor (37 lbs/17 kg) and SMART 6 (62 lbs/28 kg).
• Does not have a steel (iron) top. Materials such as wood, plastic, aluminum, or non-magnetic stainless
steel are suitable surfaces. Ensure that no steel support bar runs directly beneath the magnet. Any
cabinets directly beneath the magnet should be cleared of metallic materials (though the cabinets
themselves can be metallic).
• Provides adequate bench space for each component -
• ORACLE - 47" (120 cm) W x 30
"
(77 cm) D x 25" (64 cm) H
• Processor Module - 13" (33 cm) W x 16" ( 41 cm) D x 17" (44 cm) H
• Power Conditioner
(at minimum 3' (1 m) away from magnet)
- 12" (31 cm) W x 16.5" (42 cm) D x 9.5"
(25 cm) H
• SMART 6 (if applicable)- 13" (33 cm) W x 30
”
(77 cm) D x 25” (64 cm) H
• Additional space required for ORACLE Station, Heater block and sample preparation
• Allows the instrument to be connected to a dedicated, grounded outlet as specified in the instrument
specifications and capable of accepting the plug of the power conditioner illustrated in this manual.
2.
Carefully remove the ORACLE Processor from its shipping carton and, based on available space, place it on the
workbench, on a shelf above the workbench or on the floor under the workbench.
