Data Management
External Data Management
While the ORACLE can easily store, filter, review, and export data, some users will prefer to maintain data
externally. CEM has provided two options to allow each user the flexibility in data management that they require.
LIMS Networking
For companies that are looking to streamline and integrate all of their process control equipment using a LIMS
managerial network, the ORACLE is fully equipped to communicate with many formats of LIMS systems.
1.
For High Throughput ORACLE users:
1.1.
Select the “Main Menu” icon followed by Settings.
1.2.
Under the “Sample” header, scroll to reach LIMS output.
1.3.
Press the slider to turn the output option ON, which will automatically bring up a new window
to set the necessary output settings for the LIMS network
1.4.
Once the correct settings are logged, a test can be sent to the LIMS Network by pressing the
Send Test Results button. If the test sample goes through, press Save Configuration to begin
sending data through the LIMS Network.

For users with a SMART 6 and ORACLE,

Refer to the SMART 6 manual for instructions on how to connect to a LIMS network, as com-
munication must flow through the SMART 6.
