Mounting & Operations Manual

Installation of Compass Column

The reflection tube and the cable lead in tube should already be installed.
1. Move the binnacle to its final position. The ahead direction is marked. The Flinder´s bar (if any) points to

ahead.

2. With column inclined take illumination and detector cable and stick it through the cable sleeve into the

wheelhouse. Move the column to its final position an fix it. Make sure the cable does not obscure the optical
channel!

3. Install a junction box (yard supply) inside the wheelhouse near to the cable lead in. Wiring refer to chapter

“Wiring“.

Note:
Do not seal the the binnacle base on the platform! Water inside the binnacle column should flow off this way.
