If you do not record a greeting or a power failure
depletes the 9 volt battery, the TA-119 will answer
calls with the following pre-recorded message,

Press

When set to the Off Mode, the TA-119 will not
record messages. The ringer can be set to
operate with the unit on or off. See "RINGER ON/
OFF" to set the ringer. On/Off feature can also be
used to exit Message Playback, Message Pause
or Time Set Mode. Doing so will return the unit
to Standby Mode. All messages will be saved.
MESSAGES/ON-OFF INDI
The MESSAGES/ON-OFF INDICATOR has four settings:
1. OFF = The TA-119 is off.
2. ON (light is solid) = The machine is on and no messages have bee
