Terms and Conventions

This manual uses the following terms and conventions:

DTE

'Data Terminal Equipment', e.g. the computer
or terminal attached to the modem.

DCE

'Data Communications Equipment', e.g. the
modem.

<CR>

represents a carriage return.

<LF>

represents a line feed.

<Ctrl>

represents a control character (hold down the

CONTROL

key whilst pressing the required

character).

Commands entered at the keyboard are shown in 'Modern
Bold' font, for example,
