: Correctly Aligned Strip
It is important to note that the quality of the cable being processed will have a direct
bearing on achievable strip quality. There are many cables in the marketplace of poor
quality and, in particular, poor concentricity. If the cable layers are not concentrically
constructed, it will be very difficult to obtain a “perfect” strip on each layer. This poor
concentricity may also lead an operator to believe the Model 75 cable centering is not
aligned correctly, when in fact the cable is to blame.

2 Determining the Adjustment Direction
To determine the direction in which the wire guide bushing must be moved to correct an
out of center condition, use the following method.
1. With the machine in run mode, insert a piece of cable to be stripped through the
clamp jaws and the wire guide bushing, until it stops against the blade.
2. Put a mark on the top side of the cable to use as a reference when the cable is
removed from the machine.
3. Strip the cable.
