EFFECTIVE MILK EXPRESSION WITH ELECTRIC BREAST PUMP

Before expressing milk wash your hands thoroughly and make sure the pump was cleaned and
disinfected (remember its parts should not be hot or wet after scalding) and assembled according to
the instructions. Check all the parts for correct fixing.
2. To improve effectiveness of milk expression, use the breast pump between feedings, and not
immediately after feeding.
3. Before expressing shower your breasts with
warm water -
this will stimulate milk flow. Gentle breast
massage toward the nipple or wrapping the breast with warm towel may also be helpful.
