PUMPING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Be very careful during the assembling and disassembling of the pump to avoid damaging the
components.
Before each use:
Wash your hands thoroughly before using the pump.
Ensure that the pump is pre-washed and dried, if not, follow the instructions located in section
“CLEANING AND DISINFECTION INSTRUCTIONS”.
Ensure that there is no liquid or moisture in the silicone tubing. Never operate the pump if you notice any
water in the silicone tube.
Note! Do not mouth blow the silicone tube in order to remove water.
Connect tubing set with breast pump and pump unit (fig. 1.J). Put one end in the opening of membrane cap (fig.
1.D) and the second in the port (fig. 1.J) placed on the control panel. Press connectors to ensure that they fit in
the openings tightly.
Warning!
Ensure that there is no liquid or moisture in the silicone tubing. (eg. water remaining after the last
wash).
Hold assembled breast pump to your breast so that your nipple is centred inside the breast cushion.
NOTE! It is important that the silicone cushion clings tightly to the breast, otherwise the suction may be
reduced.
The pump unit is equipped with a touch panel. Touch the ON / OFF sign
to start pumping. The breast pump
will switch on and immediately start working in the stimulation phase. When first used, the breast pump will
switch on to stage 1. Each next time it will switch on at the last used stage in stimulation mode.
4. Sit comfortably with good back support and relax. Place the baby's photo in front of you or express
milk in his presence - eye contact with your child stimulates lactation. Do not express milk when you
are stressed or tired, as this inhibits milk flow.
5. Place the nipple deep into the funnel and press the breast massage pad so that it tightly covers the
breast, preventing air outflow. Otherwise milk expression is ineffective.
6. Pumping should create vacuum, necessary for proper breast pump performance.
7.
Do not try to move away from the main part of the pump at a time when the device produces a
vacuum. Turn the machine off, place your finger between the breast and silicone massaging cushion,
unhook the funnel off the breast and move the pump.
8. You should not feel the pain while expressing the milk.
If you feel discomfort, reduce the suction level
or turn the pump off. Then carefully check the breast. If you see a red or hot area of it, contact your
midwife or doctor.
9. To increase the speed of the flow during expressing
bend slightly forward
(when the breast is well
filled, milk drops may often flow out in this position even without compressing the areola). However,
remember to hold the bottle in an upright position, and make sure you are sitting comfortably.
10. In the beginning express milk from each breast for only a few minutes. Do not expect to immediately
fill the bottle. As you get used to expressing the amount of milk will increase.
11. When the milk stops flowing, put the breast pump to the other breast.
12. Remember that you need about 10 minutes to express 60/120 ml of milk. The amount of milk
expressed at different times can vary.
13. When you finish expressing, remove the breast pump body, disassemble the device, wash its parts
in warm water with mild detergent, and rinse thoroughly. Dry all parts thoroughly on a cloth or on a
bottle and teat drainer.
14.
You can feed your child immediately with the expressed milk after screwing on the cap with the teat
included in the package.
