Chapter 5 Administrator Settings
Displays the communities to which the SNMP hosts that
are allowed to send SNMP requests to the SNMP agent
belong.
To register a community for which SNMP requests are
allowed, press [Edit] - [New], and configure the
community name, receiving host, and community
privileges.
• Receive host settings
When [All hosts] is selected, packets from all SNMP
hosts that belong to the community registered under
[SNMP Community Settings] will be accepted.
• Receive host list
When [Listed hosts] is selected for [Receive host
settings], enter the IP address of the host from which to
accept SNMP packets.
Hint
To change the registered community setting, select the
community in the [SNMP Settings] screen, press [Edit] -
[Modify], and change the setting in the [Modify] screen.
SNMP Security - Auth trap
When [ON] is selected and an SNMP request is received
from a community not registered under [SNMP
Community Settings], a message is sent to the trap
transmission destination.
IMPORTANT
Be aware that “default” being included in the receiving host list
will be interpreted as all hosts being specified.
SNMP Trap Settings
Displays the communities for which the SNMP traps are
configured.
