Paper Jam in the Top Cover Area
If a paper jam occurs in the top cover area, a
display similar to the one shown appears in
the touch panel display. Check where the jam
occurred, and follow the procedure below and
the procedure that appears in the touch panel
display to remove the jammed paper.
CAUTION
• The area around the fuser unit and the
output area are subject to high temper-
atures. Take adequate precautions to
avoid burns when removing jammed
paper. Do not touch any other areas
except the designated areas for this
purpose.

Lift up the output tray.
CAUTION! HOT SURFACE
To avoid burns, do not touch the inner roller.
ATTENTION : CHAUD!
