Setting the Paper Stopper
The top of the printer unit holds pages that are output face down, and the paper stopper prevents
these pages from falling off the top of the printer unit.
To use the stopper, flip it up and slide it to
the correct paper size marker.
NOTE
• When printing paper of different sizes onto
the center tray, set the stopper to the largest
paper size. If set to a smaller size, large-
size paper will block the opening, curl up,
and may cause a paper jam.
• The full paper sensor informs the machine
when a certain amount of paper is output to
the center tray (500 sheets of 20-lb. bond
(80 g/m
2
)). The machine will stop printing
and request the stack be cleared from the
tray before resuming printing. When the
message “Remove paper from the center
tray” appears on the touch panel display,
remove the paper from the tray. The number
of sheets that can be output to the center
tray depends on the type and condition of
the paper.
