When an Original or Print Becomes Dirty

Cleaning When Documents Passing Through the Feeder Become Dirty
(Feeder Cleaning)

If originals show black streaks or appear dirty after passing through the feeder, you can perform
feeder cleaning by repeatedly feeding blank originals through the feeder.

NOTE

• It takes about ten seconds to clean the feeder.

Call up the desired screen as follows:

→

[Feeder Cleaning]

Place approximately 10 blank LTR-size
sheets lengthwise in the feeder.

NOTE

• Make sure to flex the stack of paper

before placing in it the feeder.

Press the [Start] key.

Press the [Done] key.

Repeat until the Additional Functions screen closes.
