Roller marks on images due to the friction of the pull roller when using Booklet/Folding function (Booklet
Finisher-D1
)
Description
When using the booklet or the folding function on Booklet Finisher-F1, roller marks may appear on the paper.
The following example is the image sample of the marks [a] which appeared on the image on LTR size paper
(279mm x 216mm) using the folding feature.
Cause
When using the booklet function or folding function, the paper is fed to the vertical path assembly. Then, by
the pull rollers [1] made of sponge lightly touching the surface of the paper, the paper is sent to the saddle
process tray. The pull rollers were rolling without actually touching the paper during this process and causing
the soiling on the surface of the roller to attach to the paper.
The photo [A] is the vertical path assembly viewed from above, and the photo [B] is the view from the stitcher
side.
