B. Movement
When the Start key on the copier is pressed, the DADF's stopper plate moves down and the pickup motor (M3)
starts so that the pickup roller unit moves down to reach the stack of originals.
The pickup motor will stop when the pickup roller unit has reached the pickup height sensor 1 (PI8) and the
pickup height sensor 2 (PI9) and then has moved down about 1 mm.

When the pickup roller unit stops to move down, the separation clutch (CL) and the separation motor (M3) start
to move the 1st original to the separation assembly.

When the leading edge of the 1st original reaches the separation sensor (S4), the pickup motor (M3) starts to
rotate to move the pickup roller unit from the surface of the stack of originals. The pickup roller unit stops about
6 mm from the surface of the stack of originals.
