2) Remove the E-ring [1], washer [2], 2 shims [3],
gear (black) [4], gear (white) [5], 2 shims [6], and
spring [7] in sequence.

3) Remove the gear support plate of the front side
plate.
4) Remove the E-ring [2], gear [3], parallel pin [4],
grip ring [5], and bearing [6] of the feeding (pull-
off) roller [1] (front side plate).

5) Remove the E-ring [2], gear [3], parallel pin [4],
E-ring [5], and bearing [6] of the feeding (pull-
off) roller [1] (rear side plate); then, remove the
feeding (pull-off) roller [1].
The gear holds a pin. Take care not to drop it.

4.4.9.1 Removing the Original Tray

1) Remove the ADF controller cover.
2) Disconnect the connector [1] of the ADF
controller PCB.
3) Free the harness from the wire saddle [4] and the
other saddle [5].
4) Remove the screw [2], and remove the grounding
wire [3].
