2.3.1 Outline

The machine’s original detection mechanism is capable of the following four types of de-

tection:

1. presence/absence of an original on the original tray.
2. size of the originals placed on the original tray.
3. number of originals to find out whether all have been copied.
4. trailing edge of the last original.
