Before you begin

Use Colorado 1650 prescribed:
• Screwdriver (Torx-20)
• Drive gear

NOTE

CAUTION

• Watch your fingers when you handle the media roll.
• Lifting heavy media, 25 kg (55 lb) or more, has to be done by two people or with the help of

external lifting tools.

Procedure

1.

Move to the media input side or the media output side of the printer.

2.

When a media roll is loaded on the media shaft, first unload the media roll.
For more information, see 

Cut and unload media on page 150

.

3.

Take out the media shaft.

4.

Locate the damaged drive gear at the end of the media shaft.

5.

Unscrew the four screws of the drive gear (1) with the Torx-20.

6.

Remove the drive gear (2) carefully to not lose any of the hex nuts inside the media shaft.

7.

Take out the four hex nuts from the slots.
