1.7 Names of Parts and Their Functions

The names of the printer parts and their functions are described below.

Indicator

Supports a stack of paper loaded in the cut sheet

feeder. Pull it out to support the paper in accordance

with the paper size.

Holds a stack of paper. The number of sheets to

be set varies depending on the thickness and type

of the paper.

Set the paper guide flush against the left edge of the

cut sheets in the cut sheet feeder so that the paper

can be fed straight.

See the figure below.

Open the front cover to replace the BJ cartridge and

ink cartridge, or remove jammed paper.

The printed sheets are output to this tray. To receive

a long printed paper, pull out the out put tray

extension guide before starting the printing operation.

The paper delivery flaps stand up automatically

when the paper output tray is pulled out.

Insert paper into this slot to feed the paper manually.

Connect the interface cable here.

Turns the printer on or off.

Indicates the power on and off statuses of the printer.

This indicator lights or blinks in green while the printer

receives data from the host and when it is warming-up.

It lights and blinks in orange when an error occurs.

Press this button to recover from an operator error. Also, press this button

for two seconds or more to start the head cleaning.
