Part 3: Operating Instructions

1.3 Setup Procedure

Use the following procedure to set up the printer.

1.3.1 Connecting the interface cable

1) Make sure both the printer and the computer are turned off.
2) Connect one end of the interface cable to the parallel interface connector on the

back of the printer.
After connecting the cable, fasten the locking clips to secure it.

3) Connect and fix the other end of the interface cable to the interface connector on

the computer.

1.3.2 Connecting the AC power cord

Plug the AC power cord into the AC power jack on the printer. (The AC adapter is
installed in the printer at the factory prior to shipment.)
