INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
DRIVE CHAIN INSTALLATION
• On the System’s frame, loosen bolts (
1
,
2
,
3
) a
little to allow movement of the Chain Tensioner
(
4
). Move Chain Tensioner, using the
adjustment bolt (
5
), to the lowest tension
position. See Figure 25.
Figure 25
• Install the provided chain on the motor
sprocket and on the free Tensioner sprocket.
Join the ends of the chain using the master
link provided. See Figure 26.
CAUTION: The chain has the right length and does
not need to be shortened.
CAUTION: Observe insertion direction of master
link locking clip.
CAUTION: Do not remove grease applied on
master link pins.

IMPORTANT
Chain adjustment is not done at installation but
will be done later. Leave play in the chain to allow
the other necessary adjustments to be done first.
BRAKE HOSE ROUTING
Two options are available to route the brake
hose:
• Disassemble the master-cylinder to route the
brake hose through the frame, and up to the
handlebars.
NOTE: It is easier to route the hose with the master-
cylinder disassembled but when the master-
cylinder must be re-attached to the hose, the
braking system must be bled because of air
entering the braking system following
disassembly.
• Disassemble bodywork components to route
the hose and master-cylinder to the
handlebars.
NOTE: Master-cylinder size may complicate brake
hose routing and force disassembly of
bodywork components to route brake hose to
handlebars.
No matter the chosen method, observe the
following recommendations:
• Follow existing hose and cable routing.
• Re-use existing ties and clips to secure brake
hose.
• Leave enough play in the hose between the
handle bars and the frame so as to not shorten
the motorcycle’s turning radius.
• Keep the brake hose away from heat sources.
Route the Braking system hose correctly and
install the master-cylinder on the handlebars at
the same position occupied by the original
braking system.
RE-ASSEMBLY OF MOTORCYCLE PARTS
• Re-assemble all motorcycle components
removed during the Conversion’s System
installation and routing of the brake hose (rear
frame section, exhaust, plastic side panels,
tank, seat, etc.). Observe the manufacturer’s
torque specifications when tightening bolts.
CAUTION: Be sure to apply the motorcycle
manufacturer’s requirements at reassembly of
components.
