7. MAINTENANCE
7.1. Safety instructions for the maintenance of the product
• For maintenance, place the sideshifter in its lowest position to the ground. Switch off the
vehicle’s engine and remove the key.
• Use tools and equipment suited to the work to be undertaken.
• Do not leave any tools or equipment on any part of the machine.
• Do not carry out any maintenance work if there is pressure on the hydraulic system (remove
ignition key).
• The operator should wear safety shoes and gloves when using or maintaining the
sideshifter.
• In the event of injuries caused by escaping oil under pressure, immediately seek medical
assistance.
• Before maintaining the sideshifter, carefully read the instructions in the manual of your
lifting device.
• This manual contains all the necessary information on the installation and operation of the
sideshifter.
• Some of the maintenance operations should only be carried out by professional technicians.
If you require this information and the maintenance steps, please contact your dealer.
• After completing any service procedure, always test the sideshifter through five complete
cycles (see chapter ‘5.3.1. Bleeding the hydraulic system before use’).
