Read the following instructions

In this way you will prevent the risk of accidents and damage to the appliance.
•
This appliance is designed for use in domestic and similar applications, such as staff
kitchen areas in shops, offi ces and other workplaces; in hotels, holiday farms, motels,
B&Bs and other residential-type places.
•
The appliance must only be used to froth and heat milk. Any use different from
that covered by these instructions can result in injury and voids the warranty. The
manufacturer declines any liability for damage resulting from improper use of the
appliance.
•
After unpacking, check the good condition of the appliance. In case of damage, or at the
fi rst sign of faultiness (unusual noises or odours), or for any problem occurring inside
the appliance, do not use it. Contact an Authorised Service Centre.
•
The packaging elements (plastic bags, etc.) are potential hazards and must not be left
within reach of children.
•
Only use the appliance if the power cable is intact. To replace a damaged cable, contact
an Authorised Service Centre. Danger of death caused by electric shocks.
•
Only use and store the appliance indoors. Make sure the electrical elements, plugs and
cables are dry. Never immerse the appliance.
•
Protect the appliance from sprays and drips. Water and electricity together create a risk
of electrocution.
•
Only connect the appliance to approved power sockets. Make sure the mains voltage
matches that shown on the data plate located on the bottom of the appliance.
•
The surface on which the appliance is installed must be level, solid, stationary and heat
resistant; the support surface must not slope more than 2°.
•
Do not allow the appliance to be used by persons (including children) with impaired
mental, physical or sensory faculties or insuffi cient experience and expertise, unless
they are carefully supervised and instructed by a person responsible for their safety.
Children must be watched over, making sure they do not play with the appliance!
•
Do not leave the power cable near hot surfaces and sharp edges or objects.
•
Never remove parts of the appliance while it is on. Do not insert anything in the
openings. This could cause electric shocks! Any operation not described in these
instructions must only be carried out by an Authorised Service Centre!
•
Grip the plug without pulling on the cable to disconnect it.
•
Clean the appliance carefully and regularly every time it is used. Otherwise, the grime
that forms could be harmful to health and affect proper appliance operation. Unplug the
appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
•
Do not wash the parts in a dishwasher, do not put the appliance in water (apart from
the lid and insert) and do not direct jets of water towards the bottom of the appliance or
base. This can permanently damage the appliance and invalidate the warranty. Danger
of electric shocks.
•
Hold the appliance by the handle.
•
The base supplied must only be used for its intended purpose.
•
Always use the appliance with the lid in place.
•
