Updating Software 

 

The CDC five

’s operating system undergoes a programme of continuous development. The console 

may be updated by loading new versions of software as they become available.  

 

This can be done by inserting a USB key containing the latest software. Download the latest version 

from 

www.cadac-sound.com

 (software is on the Support / Software Download page), then unzip the 

software on the root of a clean / empty USB key. Then insert the key into one of the four USB ports on 

the console and then follow the on-screen instructions.  

 

CDC five Console Software Upgrade Procedure  

 

1. 

Important: Backup all show files

 that are on the console 

2.  Download the Console Software file from 

www.cadac-consoles.com

 

3.  Then unzip this file, and copy into an 

empty

 USB stick 

4.  Plug the USB stick into a USB port on the console 

5.  The 

Simple Command Centre Screen

 will appear on the main screen

6.  Press 

Update Software

 then wait till done 

7. 

Update software launcher

 if required (button will be highlighted green) 

8.  Press 

Clear Caches

 then wait till done 

9.  Press P

ower Down

 and remove USB 

10.  Make sure the console is completely off then 

Power Up

 the console
