USB Ports
The CDC five is equipped with four
Type ‘A’ USB 2.0 ports. These are located as follows: one socket
bottom left of the screen, two sockets under the armrest on the left and one socket on the rear panel.
The USB ports are intended for the connection of an external memory device (USB stick or similar), on
which Show files can be saved or backed-up, and for performing software upgrades. They also allow
the connection of a standard USB QWERTY keyboard and / or mouse.
Ethernet Ports
The CDC five is equipped with 2 RJ45 Ethernet Ports. These are standard PC network Gigabit Ethernet
ports for purposes of connecting the console to the CDC MC Router, adding a wireless network router
when using the iPad. It can also be used to connect to an internet connection for emailing
the console’s
logs back to Cadac.
Cat 6 cable suitable for 1000base-T use is recommended for network connections.
MIDI I/O
Used for sending MIDI data for control of external hardware.
Lamp
A 3-pin female XLR connector providing 12 V DC for a gooseneck console light.
