Trap Table Screen Fields
SNMP Community Name
Displays the Community Name to be included in the trap message,
which is sent to the Network Management Station with the associated
IP address.
Traps
Enables transmission of the traps to the network management station
with the associated IP Address. Select Y to enable or N to disable.
Trap IP Address
Indicates the IP Address of the workstation to receive traps from the
ETWMIM.

Configuring the Trap Table
1.
Using the arrow keys, highlight the SNMP Community Name
field and enter the name of that field.
2.
Press the Return key.
3.
Using the arrow keys, highlight the Traps field and enter Y (or y)
to send alarms from the ETWMIM to the workstation, and N (or n)
to prevent alarms from being sent.
4.
Press the Return key.
5.
Use the arrow keys to highlight the appropriate Trap IP Address
field.
6.
Enter the IP Address of the workstation to send traps using this
field. The format for this entry is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX, with the
value of XXX ranging from 0 to 254, and three dots, or else it
returns to the beginning of the field.
7.
Using the arrow keys, highlight the SAVE option and press
Return (or press F6). The message “SAVED OK” appears.
Note: The first time you try to exit the screen without saving your
changes, Local Management displays a “NOT SAVED?” message. If
you proceed to exit without saving, you lose all edits.
