CONFIGURING THE LBO SWITCH
The T1-SRM provides a Line Build Out (LBO) switch. The LBO switch
on the front of the T1-SRM is used to match the loss of the end-section
of the service provider’s (i.e. AT&T, Sprint, MCI, NYNEX, etc.) circuit.
The default setting from the factory is 0db, and in most installations it
should be left in this position. At the time of service installation, the
service provider may ask that the output of the T1-SRM be attenuated
because it is over-driving the T1 circuit. The service provider will
advise you if the setting should be -7.5db or -15db. Changing the LBO
from 0db to -7.5db or -15db decreases the output of the T1-SRM.
Warning: After the time of service installation, the LBO switch should
NEVER be adjusted. If you are experiencing a loss of signal or other
difficulties, it indicates a problem with the line or equipment. The LBO
switch should not be used to compensate for degradation of a circuit!
