PRINTING LABELS
When the EJECT label code is used, the printer must be set up with the correct number of line
feeds. When the EJECT and BACKLINE label codes are used, the Model 512 reverse-line-feeds
the label form into position, prints the label, and then advances the form by applying line feeds
to the printer, thereby allowing the operator to remove the label. This process is repeated for
each test. It is therefore necessary to set the printer with the correct number of line feeds before
printing the first label and when changing forms.
PRINTER SETUP
1. Install the label forms into the printer and apply power.
2. Press the Select button on the printer to deselect the printer. (Most printers are
deselected when Select LED is off.)
3. Move the carriage to position the print head over the proper location on the first label.
This is typically found by trial and error the first time.
4. Press the line feed button the number of times programmed with the EJECT label code.
For example, if the EJECT code applies 20 line feeds to the printer, the line feed button is
pressed 20 times. The printer is now ready.
